Ancient History

The recognized history of the Indian Army goes back in excess of ten thousand years. The two thousand stories of 'Ramayana' and 'Mahabharata' establish the key structure around which the building of the Indian Army is constructed. The huge war 'Mahabharata', battled at Kurukshetra in north-focal India, has left permanent engravings on the Indian mind. Battled steadily for eighteen days in the mission of harmony, the power level portrayed in the Epic states 18 'Akshaunis', seven with the 'Pandavas' and eleven with the 'Kauravas', adding up to about 400,000 arranged soldiers battling on chariots, steeds, elephants and infantry.

In spite of the fact that countless wars have been battled from there on, most were in the
the journey of all-inclusive harmony and 'dharma'. A plan of action to arms was possibly taken when harmony was compromised. Truth be told the word 'harmony' frames the very center of the Indian way of thinking, which can most relevantly be followed to one of India's antiquated sacred writings known as the 'Yajurveda'. It is expressed in section, the English interpretation of which peruses - "May the sky be quiet; may the air be tranquil; may the earth be serene; may unceasing harmony cometh upon us".
